Why Skincare

My journey into skincare began during pregnancy, at a time when I also was acutely aware of my skin in a new way—as a mid-40s woman with a newborn, carrying the marks of years spent outdoors in the sun from farm work, gardening, horseback riding, and running.
I took a closer look at everything I was putting on my body. Products I had used for years—especially those with retinols and harsher ingredients—were suddenly off the table.
So I turned to what I had.
One day, I asked my husband if we had any extra beef fat saved from butchering from our cattle operation. We did. From there, I began experimenting—learning how to properly render tallow, understanding which fats were best, and refining the process batch by batch.
What started as curiosity quickly became something more. I fell in love with the richness and effectiveness of tallow—how deeply it nourished my skin in a way nothing else had. Blending it with lanolin, something I had long trusted and used, created a result that felt both luxurious and incredibly natural.
Over time, I perfected my formulas, guided by simplicity and a return to what is time-tested and true.
Every product is made with clean, natural ingredients—nothing unnecessary, nothing harsh. Gentle enough for me during pregnancy, and now safe enough for my baby.
